Manchester United star Paul Pogba's father Fassou Antoine dies aged 79 after a long-term illness

Fassou Antoine Pogba, the father of Manchester United star Paul Pogba, has died according to reports in France. He was 79.
Le Parisien say the sad news was confirmed to them by the family tonight, while other French publications have also reported his death.
Fassou is said to have been treated for a long-term illness before his passing.
Fassou memorably appeared in the stands for France's draw with Switzerland during Euro 2016, with his other two sons Florentin and Mathias wearing shirts saying "Happy Father's Day" in French.

He appeared weak but delighted to be in the company of his sons, who are Guinea internationals who play for Sparta Rotterdam and Saint-Etienne respectively, while watching Paul, who at the end of the match revealed the same shirt.
In March this year, former Juventus star Pogba shared an image on Instagram giving his dad a 79th birthday cake.
He captioned the image: “Happy birthday dear Dad, I feel blessed to be your son #pogdaddy #fighter #pogbance.”
