The process of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup is proving harder than expected for some teams. If they do not make it to the finals in Russia, the World Cup would miss this selection of great footballers.

The USA have begun to revert their situation, but this Borussia Dortmund star may have to watch the finals on TV.

The Serie A's top goalscorer could miss the tournament. Bosnia are currently in third place of their group.

Gareth Bale (Wales)

Wales are four points behind Ireland and Serbia, and their presence in Russia is increasingly complicated. The Real Madrid star will lead the team so that they can surprise the world just as they did in the Euro's in France.

Arjen Robben (Holland)

The Netherlands need nothing short of a miracle to make it to the World Cup. They are behind Sweden and France in Group A, and they must come at least second to fight in the play-offs.
